Final Project.
There are plenty of artists that have a cohesive vision about their work. Their projects aim at making an important point or at least asking worthy questions. I read about many of these artists at the end of the book for Electronic Art class. But then I had a question: What about the artists who use flimsy ideas to support controversial statements all in the service of propping up some eventually glorified version of themselves?
The film I made, with my friend Mike Keegan, is the result. The main character is an artist with huge ideas about saving the world but only a flimsy project and an endless stream of self-aggrandizing superlatives in his arsenal. It is called ‘Grave Architecture.’ We made it using a DV camera and the ridiculously easy SonyVegas editing software.
