"Skillet"

 

I decided to do a collage because it honestly was my favorite thing we did in class this year. I decided to do it on my favorite band, Skillet. I started by going to several search engines and finding the best pictures I could for the piece. I will admit that this collage went through 4 different versions with up to 13 different images before I settled on my current look. In the background there is the CD art for their most recent album "Collide." I put 4 different pictures of the band over that in the same way they are positioned on stage during live shows. After erasing the unnecessarry items from the background, I brought the opacity down, giving them a more of a transparent look. I then added a logo in the upper left hand corner. Originally, the logo had a black background, but it didn't mesh well with the collage so I deleted the background so just the text part of the logo was visible.
