Model of Truth:

The idea of this piece was to redefine the meaning or impression of an image by using text. In this case, I used text to try to break down the aura of perfection that seems to surround models.

My intent was to be subtle, so the Photoshop effects aren’t readily apparent. I copied the layer multiple times to add color effects, since the color quality in the scan wasn't good. I added highlights to her hair and lips using the color replacement tool, added a text mask to an inverted version of the picture to get the print effects, and erased the writing already on the page using a layer of white paint and a mask to fine-tune it.
