This is my Influence of technology piece. This was mainly inspired by the recently shipped Playstation 3 and all of the new game consoles and the huge rush that there was to get them. People were so driven to get one of those new system that it almost seemed like it was engrained into their heads from the companies that they HAD to have one. So thats basically what this piece is about, the system is plugging in directly into their heads. The process on this was was reall fun and cool I though. I started off with a completely blank TV screen. I then used PhotoShop's perspective to make it face forward and I put an in-game screenshot from a game on the screen. I then added the health bars and the goggle look with the info to the screen. I then put an image of a PS3 on the ground and I created the cables that are going to their heads using the pen tool as well as some shading to make them look real. I then took guitar amp cable connectors and put the input on each of the people's heads and the output going into them. I took some hair and put it over the input things so it looked more realistic. Eventhough he doesn't really have much to do with it I guess this is sort of inspired by Salvador Dahli, I always loved his hyper reality type pieces so I kind of went of that obscure kind of an effect.
