Amongst the majority of the boxing fans and critis, Muhammad Ali was and remains to be not only the Greateatest boxer ever but the biggest influential boxer to the sport and the world in general. Muhammad Ali is one of the most Quoted Athletes of all time and it is apparent why. People all around the world mimick his flashy fighting techniques but his witty and charasmatic style of speech calls for those same people, plus more, to mimick his words.

in the audio clip to the left the slick tounged, showboating entertainer on his side job of being a boxer, shows poetic gifts prior to the Rumble in the Jungle against George Foreman promising to show "How bad he is" in defeating George, in which he does exactly that.

Not only was Ali an Excellent Fighter and entertiner but he was a humanitarian, role model and a great person as a whole, one of the reasons so many people adhored him. To the right you can find an audio clip of Ali expressing how he would like to be remembered by the world.

 

Ali was a strong personality and he did not stray away from that in his peronal beliefs. Being apart of the Nation of Islam( which turned the outspoken but popular champion into one of that era's most recognizable and controversial figures), Ali believed in race preservation and alliance which is clear in the audio clip to the left.. During this time racism was very much alive but, it was clear through Alis interations with people of every race, that he was not racist and that he loved all people, and wanted to make the lives of all better. This was however considered a contradiction by many.

Throughout battling with Parkinsons Disease (hardly being able to control his motor skills or even speak), which he got from severe head trama throughout his boxing career, Ali has somehow maintained his lovable and charasmatic personality. Muhammad Ali Set many precedents inside the ring and outside the ring as a fighter but he also set precedents outside the ring. Ali's words spoke more of him than his fists.Ali was drafted to fight in the Vietnam war and refused due to his personal and religious beliefs, giving up his freedom, boxing, World Championshipand much more.
